Example Quiz with various question types
When you start making a quiz, you will first have to define a category to which the questions will be saved. Category can be course specific or wider such as ”Basic Course for Border Guards”. It is advisable to discuss which category to use with Moodle Experts at your academy. This way creating unnecessary question banks can be avoided and it is easier to manage the questions banks.
Before publishing a quiz on the course platform, make a copy of it and save it in a hidden course section. This is to make it possible to later make changes to a quiz that has already been published. When students have taken a quiz and they have been assessed, it is no longer possible to make changes to this quiz. Therefore, if you want to use the same quiz again with some additions and changes, you can modify the quiz in the hidden section and then publish this edited version.
Quiz allows you to define a time period during which it is open, how many times a student can take the test, and when it is possible to retake the test. You can also set restrictions, for example that a student can’t take the test before a specific theme/section has been passed.
Quiz results can be published in excel-format.
In this example quiz you will find examples of each question type.
